Top Dentist (2009-2019) – NJ Monthly
Dr. Paul Langer, a graduate of New York University College of Dentistry, has been practicing Endodontics in Westfield, NJ since 1996 and has been recognized by NJ Monthly Magazine as a Top Dentist every year since 2009.
Dr. Paul Langer feels privileged to have been raised right here in Westfield. It is serendipitous that his new state of the art office is in the very same building where he once came for doctors appointments as a child. He credits his parents, both healthcare professionals, for inspiring him to pursue a career in dentistry. After graduating Cum Laude from the Pingry School, he attended Lehigh University. In 1991 he graduated Dean’s List from New York University College of Dentistry. During his first year of dental school, Dr. Paul was commissioned as a Dental Officer in the NJ Army National Guard. He is grateful to have been able to serve and continues this tradition of service to others today. He also served as President of Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity. After completing his four years of Dental school, Dr. Paul Langer was honored to then be accepted immediately into the prestigious Post Graduate Endodontic Residency Program. During his time in the program, he was also a clinical instructor in Endodontics. Upon successful completion of his residency, he applied and earned his Specialty Certificate from the New Jersey State Board. After receiving his NY and NJ dental licenses, Dr. Paul Langer worked in private practice in New York City and in New Jersey. In 2017 he completed construction of his new state-of-the-art endodontic office. Throughout his career he has been actively involved in many educational courses, study clubs, and professional organizations including ADA, NJDA, Union County Dental Society, Central Dental Society, Specialist Member AAE, NJAE, Greater Westfield Area Study Club, and Newark Study Club. Dr. Paul Langer took his office staff to Philadelphia for the Microsurgical Training Course at the University of Pennsylvania Dental School. He and his staff recently returned from their annual endodontic training on the West Coast. Dr. Paul Langer also completed Part II of the 3D Imaging Course at the CBCT Learning Center for Endodontics. Lastly, Dr. Paul Langer is pleased to have made new friends at the many creative programs and meetings of the Greater Westfield Chamber of Commerce.
” I love practicing in the town that I grew up in. I have wonderful colleagues and patients here in the Greater Westfield Area. When I am not working I love spending time with family and friends, listening to or playing music (the accordion!), traveling, and enjoying good coffee and food. You might just see me around town on a summer night listening to an outdoor jazz concert. Come over to say ‘HELLO!’ and join me for a drink.”
Ruth
Office Manager
Hi. I have been working with Dr. Paul for the past five years, but I have had the pleasure of knowing him for over 18 years. I have over 40 years of experience in all phases of dentistry, including Restorative, Orthodontics, Oral Surgery and Endodontics.
I started my career as a chairside assistant, and then advanced to front desk, insurance coordinator, and practice manager. I enjoy making our patients feel at ease when they call or come in for an appointment. We are very lucky to have a caring, knowledgeable and compassionate staff. It is so rewarding when the patients come up to the desk after treatment with a big smile on their faces because they realize they were worried for nothing. They often say that it was the best dental procedure they ever had. I really enjoy answering any questions our patients may have, whether it be about their treatment, insurance or finance options. I am here to help you in any way that I can.
N'dela
Scheduling and Insurance Coordinator
Hi there, I’m N’dela. I’m the patient coordinator. I have been in the dental field for about 21/2 years. I was introduced to dentistry through a friend and loved it right away.
With no dental experience, I was determined to learn quickly. I can help with insurance, billing and appointments. I’m a fast learner and I made sure that I learned something from everyone in the office. I enjoy going to the courses that Dr. Paul invites the office to. I am pleased to say that I have found a career that allows me to keep growing and expanding my knowledge. I love to go out with my husband and 3 children as often as possible. I enjoy listening to music, going to the movies and my ultimate favorite, social Latin dancing. I look forward to making your dental experience a pleasant one.

Celeste

Hello, my name is Celeste. My specialty is chairside assisting. I have been in the dental field for over 30 years. I’ve been working with Dr. Paul Langer for the past 6+ years. I enjoy working with our friendly staff; they really are family to me. I take great pride in the care I give my patients and I look forward to meeting you.
Samantha
Dental Assistant
Hi! My name is Samantha. I’m a mother of an 11 year old son and I love working with kids.
I have been in and out of the dental field since I was about 13 years old. My mother has been in the dental field for over 40 years and she always had me come in to help out in the offices where she was working. I guess you can say I was kind of destined to be in the field.
I was originally a cosmetologist for 14 years, until about 3 years ago when I decided to make a change. That’s when I started working with Dr. Paul temporarily to help out. Needless to say I never left. After starting, I received my dental assisting training, and then earned my NJ dental x-ray license. I love our patients and making them feel at ease when coming into our office. I try to make it a fun and relaxing experience for all our patients, especially the patients who are nervous. I love our staff – we are like family and we have way too much fun working together. You will be in good hands with us. Look forward to meeting you!
Loraine
Operations Analyst
I was born and raised in beautiful Toronto, Canada. I graduated Dental Assisting School in 1984 and worked as a clinical assistant and office manager in private practice in Toronto for 2 years. In 1986 I moved to the U.S. to pursue an education in Dental Hygiene at Fairleigh Dickinson University. I graduated at the top of my class and received many academic awards, including The Merit Scholarship. A couple of professors convinced me to continue my education, and I continued in the bachelor’s program, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene in 1990. I was pleased to receive several awards and honors, including Magna Cum Laude. I practiced clinical Dental Hygiene in General and Pediatric practices in NY and NJ for close to two decades. I spent 5 years as a Clinical Instructor in the NYU Dental Hygiene Department. At that point I focused my time on raising my family and building my business of party planning and decorating. I have enjoyed these creative outlets. When I received the call inviting me to come in and consider helping with the development of the new office, I was pleased that I could draw on my extensive dental background to assist in the growth of this high quality practice. I primarily work “behind the scenes” helping Ruth, and any other staff who need my assistance. I feel energized working at Platinum Endodontics. I love my co-workers, and I am happy to be a part of a team where excellence is a priority.
